For many neighbors, visiting a food pantry can feel overwhelming or unfamiliar—and that’s where you come in. As an Intake & Customer Service Volunteer, you’ll be the friendly face who welcomes both new and returning neighbors, helping them feel comfortable and supported from the moment they walk in.
You’ll explain how the pantry works and assist with the intake process, including helping folks complete forms through Link2Feed or other systems. Your goal is to ensure every neighbor is treated with dignity and respect, and that their visit is a positive experience.
In addition to welcoming guests, you’ll also help us listen and respond to their feedback. If someone has a need that goes beyond food, you’ll do your best to connect them with the right community resources. This role is perfect for someone who’s friendly, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference one person at a time.
