Rise & Shine with the Morning Kitchen Clean-Up Crew!

After breakfast is served, you’ll jump in to tackle dishes, wipe down prep areas, take out trash, and bring order back to the kitchen. It’s hands-on, high-impact, and surprisingly satisfying work—with plenty of laughs and good music to keep things moving.

No experience? No worries. We’ll guide you through it. All you need is a good attitude, a pair of sturdy shoes, and a willingness to pitch in.

Love to stay organized and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes? As a Shelf Stocking Volunteer, you’ll play a key role in making sure our pantry is ready to serve our neighbors with care and dignity.

You’ll help restock shelves, tables, and refrigeration units with food items —making sure everything is neat, easy to find, and safe to eat. We follow the “First Expired, First Out” method, so you’ll also help us keep track of expiration dates and follow basic food safety practices.

Food Drop Crew – Unload & Reload Hero

Ready to flex those muscles for a great cause? Join our Food Drop Crew and help keep the pantry running smoothly! When the delivery truck arrives, you’ll be part of the essential team that unloads boxes, sorts supplies, and stocks our shelves.

No need to be a bodybuilder—just come ready to move, lift, and laugh with a supportive team. You’ll help check expiration dates, organize inventory, and keep storage areas clean, safe, and efficient.

What You’ll Do:

Unload and unpack boxes of food and supplies

Stock shelves and tables, rotating items so older dates are in front

Sort produce and perishable items to ensure freshness and quality

Help maintain a clean, organized, and shopper-friendly pantry

Contribute to a smoother and more efficient pantry process

Requirements:

Comfortable with physical work and able to lift up to 50 lbs

Ideal for early risers—this shift happens before pantry opens

No interaction with neighbors required

Closing Crew – Cleanup Champions

Every great day at the pantry ends with a team of Cleanup Champions who help us reset and get ready for tomorrow!

After the last neighbor finishes shopping, you’ll swoop in to tidy up the space—wiping down surfaces, sweeping up crumbs, taking out trash, and making everything sparkle again.

It’s a little like closing time at your favorite café, but with a bigger heart. You'll be part of a small but mighty crew that makes sure our pantry stays clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

Tasks include:

Sweeping and mopping

Disposing of trash

Wiping down shelves and tables

Storing any leftover perishable items properly

Requirements:

Be able to do some light lifting

Volunteers who can stay a little later are a great fit for this role!

You’ll be stationed throughout the pantry or distribution area to guide neighbors as they shop, making sure they feel supported and respected every step of the way.

Your responsibilities include:

Helping neighbors understand and honor limits on certain items

Gently encouraging a steady flow of movement through the pantry

Monitoring shelves, tables, and refrigerators and restocking as needed

Using First Expired, First Out (FEFO) practices

Following all food safety guidelines

This is a great role for detail-lovers who enjoy staying organized and love knowing their work makes someone’s day easier. You’ll be part of a small but mighty team keeping things cool (literally)!

Love friendly faces, fresh air, and a little hustle? Join our Curbside Crew and be one of the friendly folks who load food directly into neighbors' cars with a smile and a helping hand!

You’ll be the final stop on their pantry journey—making sure their groceries are packed safely and with care. Whether it’s raining or shining, your positive energy will brighten someone’s day. You'll also help manage traffic flow, assist neighbors as needed, and maybe even share a few laughs along the way.

This is a great gig for someone who enjoys staying active, being outdoors, and spreading kindness one car at a time.

For many neighbors, visiting a food pantry can feel overwhelming or unfamiliar—and that’s where you come in. As an Intake & Customer Service Volunteer, you’ll be the friendly face who welcomes both new and returning neighbors, helping them feel comfortable and supported from the moment they walk in.

You’ll explain how the pantry works and assist with the intake process, including helping folks complete forms through Link2Feed or other systems. Your goal is to ensure every neighbor is treated with dignity and respect, and that their visit is a positive experience.

In addition to welcoming guests, you’ll also help us listen and respond to their feedback. If someone has a need that goes beyond food, you’ll do your best to connect them with the right community resources. This role is perfect for someone who’s friendly, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference one person at a time.
